What have we been doing?
Want to know more about how we work?
As a group we influence change, gather parents, points of view and keep parents informed. We try to do this in several different ways:
Consultations – For example, we led workshops at the Parents in Partnership events across the county, collecting views from parents around their concerns about communication with professionals and how this could be improved.
Children's Trust Board – As a group we have a seat on the Children's Trust in Worcestershire. This is a group of professionals who are working to improve Worcestershire and safegaurding for children, young people and their families. Our representative shares parent's views and influences the decisions made.
Workshops – Parents' Voice occasionally organises events to inform parents about decisions made in the county which will affect children and young people.
National Consultations – we take part in national consultations giving Worcestershire parents an opportunity to influence national decisions.
Publicity – we produce newsletters and flyers.

Coming soon
The County Council is developing local commissioning partnerships in each of the six districts and their job will be to develop services locally and spend money on what local children, young people and their families need. Parents' Voice will be looking for parents who would be able to represent parents’ views on these six groups.
We hope to have parent representatives on all six of the Local Commissioning Partnerships.
